We at Davids Medienkritik are not professional demonstrators. So in our preparations for our June 27 demonstration at Lafayette Park across from the White House in Washington, DC, we needed a little inspiration from some people who really are professionals. Here is what we came up with:
Welcome to America Mr. Bundeskanzler!
Update: Just kidding! We don’t want to kick poor Gerhard while he is already down. That wouldn’t be very sporting. We will continue to focus on our stated objective: A Demonstration against anti-American bias in German media and politics. Thanks for your input readers!
Anyway, we are sure that Mr. Schroeder will take our little demonstration with good humor during his June 27 visit to the White House, just as President Bush was expected by Mr. Schroeder’s SPD to take German carnival floats with good humor shortly before his visit.
If any of you have any good ideas for signs, be sure to let us know. And above all, plan to be with us in Washington, DC at Lafayette Park at 12:30 PM on June 27 to welcome the Chancellor and demonstrate against anti-American bias in German media and politics!
