Anyone unsure about the ruthlessness of the enemy we face in Afghanistan and Pakistan should read this piece about a young boy in Pakistan: ‘I Agreed to Become a Suicide Bomber’.

It is hard to believe that the majority of the American people cannot support a war to ensure that Afghanistan and Pakistan never again become bases for the people who plotted and executed 9/11.

Have Western societies become so casualty sensitive that they will buckle at the least resistance and lose patience as years pass?
