Die Achse des Guten is an absolute powerhouse because of its format and its writers.
Let’s start with the writers: The blog has eight of them, and they are all well-known, top-shelf German journalists and authors including Henryk Broder, Maxeiner and Mirsch and Tobias Kaufmann. In terms of pure talent and force of numbers, this site has a major advantage over any other German-language blog.
The format is somewhat like that of Instapundit’s and therefore different from most other German-language blogs. Each author posts a few sentences or a couple paragraphs, usually with a link or two. The comments and links are a guaranteed place to find articles and news stories of interest.
Recently, Davids Medienkritik was named one of the two central stars of the blogger “parallel universe” by Die Welt. Die Achse des Guten was named as the other central star. That alone tells you they must be good. So check them out!
